Response to Giving of Love
John 13 vs 34.
Did you know your response to someoneÂs giving of love can hurt that love?
We do not always recognize that our actions to another person who is reaching out to us can seriously hurt them.
Perhaps we should ask what drives us to reject another personÂs action? There may be many answers, however a major one relates to self issues. They can cause hurt with others. That obviously takes us away from ChristÂs teaching to us to love one another. John 13 vs 34. If you have let self issues be your driving force, then perhaps, we should ask GodÂs forgiveness for our self focus.
Consider a prayer like this:
Father, self issues have kept me from receiving love from others. I ask your forgiveness and help to allow me to focus on others instead of myself. In Jesus Name, Amen.
